Q What is Tenth Vote?
-
Tenth Vote is a closed prediction market tweaked for democracy.
-
Closed = you cannot buy your way into Tenth Vote, only verified registered voters in Washington's 10th Congressional District are eligible to create an account.
-
Tweaked = you don't buy shares like in a prediction market; shares are deposited into your account at the beginning of every year.
Q Shares?
-
Shares represent your share of our Congressional vote.
-
Use these shares to influence our Congressional vote.
Q Will Tenth Vote cost me money?
-
No, there are no fees.
Q How do I open an account?
-
If elected, cards will be sent out to all registered voters with application details. We need to verify that you are who you say you are, this is real political power after all.
Q When will I be able to apply for an account?
-
Within a month after the election is the target.
Q A platform like this isn’t free, if there are no fees, who is paying for this?
-
My Congressional salary will pay for it.
Q Why are you doing this?
-
Everyday I wake up, open my phone, and realize that our government is worse than the day before… I can’t just sit back and watch I guess.
Q Is Tenth Vote fully developed and ready for public interaction?
-
No, Tenth is in development with ambitious timelines to meet. First public release for testing is scheduled for early August 2026.
-
The technology is there and built, it’s about ensuring the platform is secure from shenanigans, both internal and external.
Q Total Transparency?
-
The only way this works is through user confidence.
-
User confidence is promoted through the use of total transparency.
-
Total transparency means the Macro numbers are always known to everyone.
-
Macro numbers are the system-wide totals of Tenth Vote.
-
Total accounts
-
Total shares
-
Total shares not yet voted
-
Total shares voted
-
-
All of these numbers are constantly being validated
-
Constantly = 5x a second, every second.
-
-
If any of these numbers do not add up, a red signal will appear and Tenth Vote will pause until the issue is resolved.
-
An example...
-
X= number of total system-wide shares
Y= number of total system-wide accounts
Z= number of shares deposited into every account at beginning of the year
X/Y=Z, we’re good.
if
X/Y≠Z, we have a problem.
